Recruitment of non-engineers for engineer posts in PIA revealed, out of 577 recruits as aircraft engineers, only 404 are engineers.
The Pakistan Engineering Council has written a letter to CEO PIA Arshad Malik in which it has been revealed that the recruitment of non-engineers for the posts of engineers in the national airline.
According to the PEC letter, out of 577 recruitments as an aircraft engineer, only 404 engineers are not eligible. An engineer who is not registered with the PEC in any government agency is not eligible for recruitment. None of these employees are registered as an engineer in an engineering company.
According to the letter, the judgment of the Supreme Court in 2018 also upheld the PEC Act. All these employees have neither diplomas nor B.Tech degrees. Recruitment of registered engineers for the posts should be ensured as per the orders of the Supreme Court.
