The Saudi government has exempted pilgrims coming for Umrah during Ramadan from being vaccinated against coronavirus.

A statement issued by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah said that all such pilgrims want to perform Umrah in Ramadan, they do not need to be vaccinated, currently the conditions of corona vaccination are not applicable for permission to perform Umrah in Ramadan. ۔

Earlier, a circular issued by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah said that institutions dealing with Hajj and Umrah matters in the country would be required to vaccinate their staff before Ramadan.

It is to be noted that earlier Umrah pilgrims were instructed to be vaccinated with Kovid-19 before their arrival in Mukarramah and it was said that those who wish to perform Umrah should be vaccinated with Kovid-19 as a precaution.
