Despite the decline in the price of gold per ounce in the international bullion market, the local barter markets rose.
In the international bullion market, the price of gold per ounce fell by one dollar to 17 1750, however, in the local market on Monday, the price of gold per tola and per ten grams rose by Rs 50 and Rs 43, respectively.
In Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Multan, Lahore, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Peshawar, and Quetta barter markets, the price of gold per tola increased to Rs. 113,550 and the price of gold per ten grams increased to Rs. 97,179.
According to bullion market sources, the local price of gold is still Rs 1,000 less than the Dubai gold market, while the price of silver per tola remains unchanged at Rs 1,400 and the price of 10 grams of silver at Rs 1,200.27.
