Chinese model drone technology will be used in Pakistan for commercial, research, development, agriculture and other peaceful purposes.

Gwadar Pro reports that Prime Minister Imran Khan, inspired by drone laws in China, last week approved the establishment of a Civil Drone Authority. The report said that the development of drone technology and its use for peaceful purposes needed time in Pakistan.

According to Pakistani officials, the Civil Drone Authority will be empowered to regulate and control the country’s drone system. It will also decide on issues related to the issuance, import, manufacturing, testing, and issuance of drone licenses, the statement said.
A senior official in the Prime Minister’s Office said the authority’s responsibilities would include developing standards for manufacturing, operations, training, and research and development.
