C-Pack is commonly known as a game changer and people are already beginning to reap the benefits.
According to Board of Investment officials, 9 completed projects and 13 ongoing projects under C-Pack have created more than 70,000 direct jobs, with another 4.5 million direct jobs to be created in the next four to five years. The future of C-Pack is now at the beginning of the Special Economic Zone and Gwadar Free Trade Zone.
Furthermore, the institutional mechanism of the C-Pack is still in place and the JCC meetings have been held on a regular basis, despite the concerns of global epidemics and the global crisis.
In addition, C-Pac will play a more active role in regional development and prosperity. According to C-Pac Authority officials, China supports the port of Gwadar in terms of trade in products to further promote regional cooperation.
Gwadar port has already started with the arrival of fish supplies from China. In the coming days, more ships carrying international goods to Afghanistan, including LPG, steel pipes, DAP fertilizers, are scheduled to reach Gwadar port.
A Directorate of Transit Trade has also been set up in Gwadar working with stakeholders to turn the port into a major transit trade hub.
