The messaging app WhatsApp has introduced two new features for iPhone users that users have been waiting for.
After the new update, users of iPhone iOS version 2.21.71 will be able to view the photos in their chat without having to open them. Thanks to this new feature, users will now be able to preview images and videos in a larger and more prominent way than before, instead of a square preview.
Another important feature introduced by WhatsApp for iPhone users is ‘Disappearing Messages’ which has been extended from Android to iPhone. After the new update, all members of the group can change the ‘Disappearing Message’ settings. Previously, only group admin Kohi had the right to activate and deactivate this feature.
WhatsApp’s ‘Disappearing Messages’ feature allows users to send messages that are automatically deleted after 7 days. Note that even if the user does not open the WhatsApp for 7 days, these messages still disappear after a certain period of time, however, the preview of these messages will continue to appear in the notification until WhatsApp is opened. WhatsApp, meanwhile, is trying to reduce the duration of missing messages from 7 days to 24 hours.
