KARACHI: Pakistani experts have expressed concern that the modified British strain of the “Sars Cove Two” virus, which caused the recent global outbreak of Covid 19, may have spread rapidly in Pakistan after the third wave of Corona epidemic. The reason is becoming.
On the other hand, some other research has also shown that the virus, which is also known as SARS-CoV-2 / B.1.1.7 or B1.1.7 for short, has outgrown the effectiveness of our existing vaccines. Can reduce
It should be noted that in the last week of February this year, the government of Pakistan, while acknowledging the British type of virus in the country, said that its new and different than the first “Sars Koo To” that appeared in the Chinese city of Wuhan. Modified type B.1.1.7 may spread more rapidly.
Further research has now shown that people who have recovered from the corona virus and gained security in Pakistan may also fall victim to the new virus again.
In this regard, under the supervision of Dr. Mushtaq Hussain, Vice Principal, College of Biotechnology, a subsidiary of Dow University of Health Sciences, the young scholars have compared the Wuhan and British Code 19 viruses in a detailed and molecular scale.
Sania Shabbir, Anusha Amanullah, Fauzia Raza, Mohammad Janis Imdad and Sehar Zaidi have examined the structure of both viruses and their ability to spread the disease.

The study is published in the March 11, 2021 issue of the Journal of Medical Virology.
Research has shown that both types of viruses attach to human cells with equal intensity through their spike proteins.
However, significant differences were observed between the two types of spike proteins. Because of this difference, B.1.1.7 can also easily defeat the protective antibodies that are produced in the human body after being infected with its predecessor and the original virus.
It is important to mention here that our body’s natural immune system produces natural ingredients, ie antibodies. This process continues.
As our bodies are exposed to viruses and bacteria, the number of different antibodies in our body that keep accumulating in our blood also increases to protect us from the disease by disabling them.
It is a silent battle of the human body against diseases that continues all the time but we are not aware of it.
But over the past 15 months, the SARS-CoV-2 virus has been jumping from one human group to another.
The Pakistani team has also identified 29 major changes in the British virus compared to the previous Wuhan virus.
Although more research is needed, we can say that people who have recovered from the old Wuhan virus may be infected with the British corona virus (B.1.1.7) because it is effective against the old virus. Antibodies may not be very effective against the new British virus.
Following the emergence of a new strain of the corona virus in the UK in November 2020, the epidemic in the UK was on the rise until January 2021, when a strict lockdown was imposed.
Since then, there has been a sharp rise in new cases of corona epidemic in Pakistan, especially in the Punjab, in which the British kind of intervention cannot be ignored.
It may also neutralize the security capabilities created by the first virus.
Are we following the path of the 17-year-old deadly virus?
The virus that erupted from China in December 2019 is called SARS-CoV2, but 17 years ago today we encountered the SARS-CoV virus, which is weak in spread but deadly. I was very dangerous.
A Dow University team has observed unusual changes in the British virus’s spike protein and ORF-8 protein.
This corona virus is the same group of proteins that are thought to be responsible for its ability to cause disease.
They believe that the ORF8 gene in the B1.1.7 virus has changed to such an extent that it has become two proteins.
The smallest of these proteins exits the cell, and the other large protein stays inside the cell.
The same thing happened with the SARS co virus in 2003. That is, at that time, two proteins were formed due to RF8. The virus was less severe in spread but more deadly than the 2019 Wuhan virus!
Dr. Mushtaq Hussain says that all people who have been vaccinated with the Code 19 vaccine should adhere to all the rules, including face masks and social distance, as the current vaccines are effective only against “Sars Cove Two” while the British type
