Despite the decline in the price of gold per ounce in the international bullion market, the local barter markets saw a rising trend in prices.
In the international market, the price of gold per ounce fell by ڈالر 2 to 5 1751, but the impact of the fall in prices was not felt in the local barter markets. In the local barter markets, gold prices rose by Rs 200 and Rs 172 per tola and per 10 grams, respectively, on Saturday.
In Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Multan, Lahore, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Peshawar, and Quetta barter markets, the price of gold per tola increased by Rs. 113,500 and the price of gold per ten grams increased by 97,308 Rs.
Sources in the bullion market say that the local price of gold is still Rs 1,000 less than the Dubai gold market. However, silver remained unchanged at Rs 1,400 per tola and Rs 1,200 at 27 paise per 10 grams.
