Job Description
The trailer driver is responsible for the safe transportation of the material and goods to their destination. He is also expected to choose the best route for the transit The trailer driver’s job description is as follows:
- Transporting the raw materials from the factory to the plants
- Transporting the finished goods from plants to distribution centers and outlets
- Inspecting the vehicles daily to save the company from any inconvenience during transit
- Planning for routes to make transit more safe and on time
- Maintaining the proper record of the delivery
- Keeping a full record of the vehicle, travel time, and fuel consumption
- Following the rules and regulations of the prevailing traffic laws
- Informing the site manager in case of any accident or mishap
Skills Required
- Valid Truck Driver’s License
- Proven experience as a driver in any reputed company
- Hands-on experience with manual and auto transition vehicle
- No history of any major road accidents or violation
- Ability to drive for long hours continuously
